Aziz Ansari’s ‘Greatest Culinary Accomplishments’— and Recipe!

Aziz Ansari Frittata
Courtesy Aziz Ansari

His resume is mighty packed these days! He’s a comedian, actor, writer and—based on his hunger-inducing pics—a crazy-good cook, too.

Just look at one of Aziz Ansari‘s recent creations: a fluffy, egg-white frittata packed with slices of zucchini, mushrooms and Italian Soppressata salami. “This frittata is one of my greatest culinary accomplishments,” he wrote in the post.

Where did these cooking chops come from? “Over the summer, I took a brief vacation to Italy and learned how to make these very tasty frittatas from a lovely Italian lady named Graziela,” the Parks and Recreation actor tells PEOPLE.

“This recipe is very malleable. You can [make] it with egg whites, full on eggs, change up the veggies (I enjoy spinach and onions),” says Ansari. “I personally would keep the Parmigiano Reggiano and zucchini as constants. They seem to work really well in frittatas to me.”

Lucky for us, he’s willing to share his take of Graziela’s masterpiece: “I humbly, humbly submit what I think is quite a delicious version I concocted after returning home.”

Graziela Frittata (The Aziz Ansari Remix)

Makes 1

2 tbsp. olive oil

1 medium zucchini, thinly sliced

4 oz. white mushrooms, trimmed and sliced

3 egg whites, beaten

¼ cup Parmigiano-Reggiano (or Parmesan cheese), grated

2 oz. Soppressata (or Italian salami), thinly sliced

Salt and pepper

1. Preheat the oven to 350.

2. In a medium, ovenproof, nonstick skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the zucchini and cook until tender, about 2 minutes. Add the mushrooms and cook until softened, about 2 minutes.

3. Pour the beaten egg whites into the pan, add the Parmesan cheese and salami, season with salt and pepper, and stir to combine the ingredients. Cover and cook for 4 minutes without stirring. (“Use a spatula to check if it’s done on the bottom: If the outer edges are browning, you’re good,” Ansari says.)

4. Remove the cover, transfer the skillet to the oven and bake until set, about 3-4 minutes. Serve and enjoy!

Does Aziz Ansari have a serious weakness for fresh pasta?

Judging by the photos the Parks and Recreation actor is taking as he restaurant hops throughout the Pacific Northwest, it seems like he loves carbs as much as we do!

He posted this shot Tuesday of cacio e pepe (cheese and pepper) pasta from Il Corvo in Seattle, one of the cities on his Modern Romance stand-up tour. (Also, major props to him for coining our new favorite hashtag: #freshpastalife.)

And last week, he Instagrammed a photo of a delicious-looking array of artisanal pastas like rabbit agnolotti and nettle linguine from his table at Ava Gene’s, a rising restaurant star from Stumptown coffee founder Duane Sorenson that opened last summer in Portland, Ore.

“What pasta do we want? ALL THE PASTA. Ava Gene’s in Portland. So good,” Ansari wrote in the caption.

All the pasta sounds great — but so does just one! Ava Gene’s chef Joshua McFadden handed over the recipe for the sagna riccia (long, flat noodles) with sausage ragu that’s pictured in the foreground of Ansari’s shot.

McFadden imports his sagna riccia from a small pasta company in Italy called Masciarelli. “If you can’t find sagna riccia, try using a larger long noodle like fettuccine or pappardelle. It also works very well with short noodles like rigatoni or macaroni,” he tells PEOPLE.

At Ava Gene’s all of the pork sausage and meatballs are made in-house, so McFadden suggests skipping packaged products in favor of getting sweet or spicy sausage from your butcher. The better the meat, the closer this will taste to the restaurant’s version.

Ansari has proved his prowess in the kitchen before — we wonder if he’ll try this recipe at home. If so, we know a few other stars who may be down for a noodle-making session. Pasta party!

Sagna Riccia (Sunday Sausage Ragu)
Serves 4-6

12 oz. sagna riccia pasta
2 tbsp. extra virgin olive oil, divided
4 garlic cloves, smashed
3 tbsp. tomato paste
6 oz. pork sausage (uncased)
8 oz. meatballs
1½ cups of crushed tomatoes in their liquid, divided
1 handful parsley, roughly chopped
½ cup parmigiano reggiano, grated

1. Bring a large pot of water to a boil and add salt to taste (add enough so it tastes like salty seawater).

2. While you are waiting for the water to boil, heat a large sauté pan over medium heat. Add 1 tbsp. of oil and the smashed garlic, cooking until garlic cloves brown.

3. Add the tomato paste, and cook until brown. Add the sausage and cook until exterior is brown and crispy. Crush up sausage with the back of a fork.

4. Add 1 cup of the crushed tomato and the meatballs. Simmer on low 4-5 minutes and crush the meatballs into quarters. Remove from heat.

5. Once the water has reached a boil and you have salted it, add the pasta and cook one minute short of what the package time says.

6. Drain pasta and add it to the pan with the sauce. Add ½ cup of the pasta water and the rest of the tomato liquid to the pan and cook on medium heat, tossing and twirling the pasta.

7. Remove from heat and add the chopped parsley, grated parmigiano reggiano, and the last tablespoon of oil and toss well.

‘Captain’ Aziz Ansari Debuts an Online Show About Food

Aziz Ansari Food Club

Clubbing in L.A. has taken on a whole new meaning, thanks to comedian and food enthusiast Aziz Ansari.

The first episode of the Parks and Recreation actor’s wacky new web series, Food Club, includes him and two fellow funnymen eating out at an invitation-only Los Angeles eatery and also trying a bánh mì, a Vietnamese sandwich made with pork and vegetables.

Ansari and his cohorts, comedian Eric Wareheim (of Tim and Eric), and writer Jason Woliner, pretend they’re captains whose mission is to “sail the world seeking the ultimate bite,” according to the show’s erudite voiceover, though so far they haven’t ventured further than Los Angeles. Fittingly, the trio travel by yacht and sport navy blazers and caps for their dining adventures.

If they like the food at a restaurant, like Michael Voltaggio’s ink., it gets “plaqued” with a tacky bronze-and-wood award. The plaques for “losers” (fortunately, none so far) will be burned in a dramatic show of shame at the restaurant’s doorstep.

Despite the series’ wink-wink tone — Top Chef alum Voltaggio calls the award “a huge honor” — the food is real, and the guys indulge in every bite. At Wolvesmouth, an underground eatery in downtown L.A., the group dined on chef Craig Thornton’s elegant nine-course meal that included rabbit meatballs, pork belly with shrimp and chocolate tofu mousse. Despite a few mock-tense moments — will Woliner staining Wareheim’s shirt with chocolate dessert kill Wolvesmouth’s chance of earning an award? — the restaurant got “plaqued.”

Food-centered antics are nothing new for Ansari, who went on a pasta pilgrimage through Pacific Northwest eateries earlier this month. Maybe we’ll see a Portland-themed Food Club soon?

It’s official: Aziz Ansari gets the award for most supportive foodie boyfriend.

Ansari’s girlfriend, pastry chef Courtney McBroom, hosted a pop-up for her food project Large Marge at Son of a Gun restaurant in L.A. on Sunday and the comedian boasted about McBroom while serving as the event’s unofficial Instagram photographer.

Instagram Photo

@largemargecooks pop up at Son of a Gun!!” he captioned one photo. “My boo killed it. Pictured: Queso, seared hamachi, double decker carne asada tacos, and root beer float with bons bons.”

He even lent a hand writing hilarious descriptions for the wine and cocktail menus.

“This is a frozen drink and it’s October,” read the explanation for the Frozen Scorpino cocktail. “Only in LA can we do this. Don’t sleep on this one! PS- Large Marge almost beat me up after drinking this. It may get you rowdy.”

Instagram Photo

Ansari has expressed his love for McBroom, who previously worked at Momofuku Milk Bar, but this event marks the first culinary collaboration between the two.

“I highly recommend dating a chef, anyone that’s single, date a chef,” he said on the Late Show with David Letterman. “They’ll say amazing things like, ‘Hey, I don’t know if you’re hungry but I made this delicious snack,’ which is the greatest sentence I’ve ever heard.”

McBroom teased on her Instagram that a second pop-up is in the works and we can’t wait to see what these two whip up next.

You can now share a burrito with your favorite foodie comedian.

Aziz Ansari is one of the stars to join Chipotle’s “Cultivating Thought” author series, which prints and excerpts short pieces penned by authors, comedians and thought-leaders on their cups and bags, the food chain announced Tuesday. The stories are paired with intricate, line-drawn graphics that echo themes in each story.

The Parks and Recreation star’s takeout bag features an excerpt from his observational-funny work “Two Minutes” as well as an illustration by Deth P. Sun.

In addition to Ansari, this installment’s writers include Amy Tan of The Joy Luck Club, Augusten Burroughs of Running with Scissors and Jeffrey Eugenides of Virgin Suicides.

Ansari said he is inspired by comedians like Chris Rock, Dave Chappelle and Louis C.K. because, “I think they are some of America’s greatest writers.” He was particularly motivated to write this piece. “The notion of being paralyzed and inconvenienced by the technology that was built to make our lives easier is fascinating to me,” he said. “I personally feel affected by it on a daily basis and I’m sure others are as well.”

This is the second time that novelist Jonathan Safran Foer, author of Everything is Illuminated and Extremely Loud & incredibly Close is cultivating the project. Last May, Foer tapped celebrities such as Sarah Silverman, Bill Hadar and Judd Apatow.

The new “Cultivating Thought” packaging will be available in all Chipotle locations in the coming weeks. In the meantime, read Ansari’s piece below and check out the rest of the authors’ works here.

Why do we always want the best? I had to get a toothbrush the other day. Before I left my house, I searched “best toothbrush.” It seemed like the sensible thing to do.
As I typed in the searchbox, the auto-fill completed the thought immediately. I wasn’t alone in my toothbrush purchase insecurity. A flurry of articles came up with conflicting opinions and, for a moment, I felt stupid.
Every toothbrush I bought on a hunch has been fine. I’ve never been disappointed in a toothbrush. Why waste my time trying to find the best? Have you ever run into someone with no teeth and asked, “What happened?”
And they replied, “Bought the wrong toothbrush. Should have done more research.” Then again, I do use a toothbrush quite a bit. If you can get the best, why not?
I mentioned the dilemma to a friend. She said her dentist had given her a great toothbrush called Timbul. She claimed it was “amazing” and it “changed the game.”
A game-changing toothbrush!
I went on Amazon and found it. There were 192 reviews.
First review. 5 stars. “Great brushes.” From a guy delightfully named, Skip Smiley.
Could I trust him? I clicked to see his other reviews.
I soon began to question Mr. Smiley’s integrity. Dude was giving 5 stars to everything:
A diving snorkel: “Love it.”
The book, I, Alex Cross: “Great book.”
An ink cartridge: “Just fine.”
“Just fine” but still five stars? Huh? More research had to be done.
But then I thought about Skip Smiley. Maybe he figured it out. Maybe you just make confident decisions and feel great about them. Did Skip fret about which diving snorkel to buy? Doubtful. Instead of stressing out about other options and possibilities, he was swimming with his snorkel, making the best of life.
I decided to buy the toothbrush. And you know what?
It’s a great toothbrush.

Aziz Ansari and his chef-girlfriend Courtney McBroom may just have the sweetest love story ever – literally.

“I was working at Momofuku Milk Bar in Manhattan. Someone said, “Aziz Ansari is here!,” the Large Marge chef told Food & Wine of their first encounter. “I didn’t know who he was. A year later we met at an event and bonded over Hokey Pokey cookies. They’re made from smoked oats and a weird New Zealand toffee candy called Hokey Pokey. Basically, the Hokey Pokey brought us together.”

RELATED: Aziz Ansari and Girlfriend Courtney McBroom Team Up on a Pop-Up Restaurant

The foodie couple has gone on to throw many a party — which, not surprisingly, sound like a blast — with McBroom taking the reigns on the recipes, while the comedian controls the cocktails.

“It’s definitely awesome to be with someone who has skills in the kitchen,” Ansari tells the magazine. “I mix drinks so I feel like I’m contributing something. Lately it’s been margaritas. I’m not going to lie about it: I am not a big margarita guy. But in Mexico we discovered a honey liqueur, Xtabentún, and it has changed my margarita game.”

Friend, frequent party guest and Ansari’s fellow Parks and Recreations co-star Adam Scott, who interviewed the couple for the story, said Ansari and McBroom’s get-togethers usually include two things: queso and “a bunch of funky wine.”

RELATED: Follow Aziz Ansari On His West Coast Pasta Quest — and Make a Recipe at Home

The credit for the queso – and what Ansari calls “a dangerous dish” – goes to McBroom. “I made it my mission to come up with a good queso,” the Texas native said.

Want to make McBroom’s queso dip at your own party?  Here’s the recipe, courtesy of Food & Wine:

Courtney McBroom’s Three-Queso Dip

¾ cup heavy cream
½ cup skim milk
1 ¾ lbs. white American cheese, sliced 1/3 inch thick and diced
1 cup (3 ½ oz.) coarsely shredded manchego cheese
1 cup (3 ½ oz.) coarsely shredded sharp white cheddar cheese
¼ tsp. garlic powder
1 ¾ cups buttermilk
Tortilla chips
Chopped cilantro
Fresh salsa, for serving

1. In a small saucepan, combine the heavy cream and milk and bring just to a simmer. Transfer to a large heatproof bowl set over a saucepan of simmering water. Add the three cheeses and heat, whisking occasionally, until completely melted, 7 to 10 minutes. Add the garlic powder and gradually whisk in the buttermilk; heat until thoroughly incorporated and the queso is very smooth, about 5 minutes. Keep warm over very low
heat and serve with tortilla chips, cilantro and fresh salsa.

Aziz Ansari Reveals How He Overcame a Pork-Fueled Fight with His Parents (Video)

While Aziz Ansari was grateful to have his parents act in his new series, Master of None, having them around for filming also caused some conflict in his personal life.

On Tuesday night, the comedian told Conan O’Brien that although his father, Shoukath, and mother, Fatima, don’t eat pork because of their Muslim religion, Aziz, 32, does not share the same belief because “I’m not religious and it tastes very tasty.”

“If I’m around my parents, I don’t eat pork because it feels weirdly disrespectful or something,” he revealed. “But then they’re in town for two weeks, which is a longer period of time, and something happened, Conan.”

RELATED: The Best Food Moments from Aziz Ansari’s Master of None

During a dinner out with girlfriend chef Courtney McBroom and his parents—who star as his TV parents in the Netflix series—Aziz decided, “I’m 32 year old, I can do whatever I want.” So the actor indulged in pork despite upsetting mom and dad. This rebellion also continued for two more meals.

It wasn’t until the third meal that tensions got too high for Aziz to handle it.

“At a certain point, my girlfriend gets up and goes to the restroom and I just looked at my parents and I was like, ‘Help! She’s making me eat pork, I don’t know what to do!'” he admits.

Now Aziz says, “I’m in the clear.” Well, at least until his parents see his late night appearance…

EXCLUSIVE: Watching Mario Batali and Aziz Ansari in the Kitchen Will Cause Hunger Pangs—and Spontaneous Fits of Laughter

Now this is a lunch date we want in on.

Mario Batali cooked up a special three-course Italian meal for Master of None co-creators Aziz Ansari and Alan Yang on his new web special premiering April 6 on MUNCHIES.

Cleverly called Masters of Lunch, the chef dished out fare inspired by the foodie comediansrecent trip to Lombardy, Italy. On the menu: frittelle di carote (an antipasta of fried shredded carrots and mascarpone), casunziei (pasta filled with a puree of roasted beets and potatoes), and popette (a meatball main course prepared with swiss chard)—each paired with a regional wine.

RELATED: Tyrese Built a Benihana-Style Restaurant in His Backyard, Parties with Andy Samberg and Aziz Ansari

“I made dishes [based] on what Aziz just recently traveled to taste and see and understand,” Batali tells PEOPLE exclusively.  “In particular the frittelle di carote was a dish I know he had eaten somewhere and the wine [that I served], he actually stayed in the winery that made it. I knew I would be able to tickle his fancy a little bit.”

And this wasn’t the first time Batali and Ansari enjoyed an epic meal — and playful banter.

“I met Aziz about three years ago and we have a gentlemen’s lunch club when he’s in town,” Batali says. “We’ve done everything from [New York City restaurants] Babbo to Momofuku to Peking Duck House to odd places in Chinatown. It’s because he’s kind of a food obsessive and loves all the things that are in my world and I find him hilarious. We have infinite things to talk about and we don’t take each other very seriously. We like our friendship.”

RELATED: Jennifer Lawrence and Aziz Ansari’s Friendly Dinner Date Involves Wine, Fried Chicken and Nachos

In the exclusive clip (which has a spot of NSFW language), the culinary icon also dispenses his favorite tips. “In the last minute, right before you serve your food, you can add all these little tricks,” Batali says as he finishes the meatballs with olive oil and parsley. “It’s crucial to understand that in the last seconds you can change it from 94 to a 99.”

“Ninety-four is not good enough!” Asari joked, as he tucked into the dish. (Not-so-surprising spoiler alert: He loved it.)

Batali also added: “You would not serve this with spaghetti [in Italy], you would serve this as a main course. In fact spaghetti was almost never served with meatballs.”

And the chef shared that there’s more to a meal than just the food. “It’s fun to eat with people who love to eat. It’s fun to cook with people that love to eat and it’s fun to be with people who love to talk about it because that’s what gives it all the juice,” he said.

“Our level of obsession has gone of the charts,” replied Yang.

So much so, that after the meal was finished, Ansari was left wanting more. “No dessert?” he said, which elicited big laughs from the guys.

RELATED: The Best Food Moments from Aziz Ansari’s Master of None

With all this delicious food, and fun back-and-forth, this begs the question, could a Batali soon make a cameo on the food-centric Master of None?  “In the next season we’re probably going to do something for fun,” said the chef.

Mario Batali’s Beef and Chard Meatballs

For the Meatballs:
¼ cup extra-virgin olive oil
1 medium red onion, halved and cut into ⅓ -inch-thick slices
3 cloves garlic, thinly sliced
1 lb. Swiss chard, trimmed, stems and leaves cut into ¼-inch-thick slices
2 cups coarse fresh bread crumbs
1 lb. ground beef chuck
1 lb. turkey Italian sausage
½ cup whole milk
2 large eggs, lightly beaten
4 cloves garlic, grated on a Microplane
2 tbsp. chopped fresh marjoram
1 tsp. red pepper flakes
2 tbsp. kosher salt
2 tbsp. freshly ground black pepper

For the Sauce:
¼ cup extra-virgin olive oil
3 red onions, thinly sliced
6 cloves garlic, thinly sliced
1 tbsp. red pepper flakes
1 cup dry red wine
1 sprig fresh rosemary
2 cups tomato sauce
Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper
2 tbsp. roughly chopped fresh flat-leaf parsley, for serving

1. To make the meatballs: preheat the oven to 475°F.

2. In a large sauté pan, heat the oil over medium-high heat. Stir in the onion and garlic. Add the Swiss chard and season with salt. Cover and cook for 5 minutes, or until the chard softens.
Toast the fresh bread crumbs in a dry pan until toasted and deep brown but not burned—watch them carefully to prevent burning. Set aside.

3. Uncover the chard, stir, and cook for 8 to 9 minutes more, until the chard is very tender. Set aside to cool, then chop well and place between two plates to press out any liquid.
In a large bowl, combine the chard, beef, sausage, bread crumbs, milk, eggs, garlic, marjoram, red pepper flakes, salt, and pepper and mix lightly with your hands until just combined. Form into golf ball–size meatballs and place in a shallow casserole.
Roast the meatballs until dark golden brown, about 15 minutes. Remove from the oven and reduce the oven temperature to 350°F.

4. To make the sauce: in a large ovenproof skillet, heat the olive oil over high heat until smoking. Add the onions and garlic, reduce the heat to medium, and cook until well browned, about 5 minutes. Add the red pepper flakes, then the wine and rosemary, and bring to a boil. Cook until the wine has reduced by half. Add the tomato sauce and bring to a boil, then reduce the heat to maintain a simmer and cook for 15 minutes.

5. Add the meatballs to the sauce, place the pan in the oven, and bake for 1 hour. Season the meatballs with salt and pepper. Serve in shallow bowls with the sauce, topped with the parsley.

Adam Scott Says Aziz Ansari Is 'Doing Great' 2 Months After Sexual Misconduct Allegation

Though Aziz Ansari has yet to make a public appearance since he was accused of sexual misconduct by an anonymous woman two months ago, his former Parks and Rec costar Adam Scott recently gave an update on his friend.

“I’ll say this: Aziz is doing great. He’s a great, lovely guy,” the Big Little Lies star told Vulture in an interview published Friday.

Scott, who portrayed Ben Wyatt, and Ansari, who played Tom Haverford, starred alongside Amy Poehler on the NBC comedy together from 2010-2015.

In January, a 23-year-old Brooklyn photographer accused Ansari, 35, of sexual behavior that she classified as assault but he called consensual.

RELATED: Amy Schumer on Aziz Ansari Allegation: Everyone Needs to Learn What ‘Behavior Is Not Acceptable’

Speaking to Babe.net under the pseudonym “Grace” in a story published Jan. 13, she recounted her allegations against the Master of None actor. Grace said that after meeting Ansari at an Emmy Awards afterparty in September 2017, they exchanged numbers and eventually went on a date, which she called “the worst of life.”

After a meal, she said they returned to his apartment, where she alleged that Ansari behaved coercively and that several sexual acts occurred though she was “physically giving off cues that wasn’t interested.”

The woman said she decided to come forward after she saw Ansari wearing a Time’s Up pin at the Golden Globe Awards, where he won best comedy actor in a TV series.

In a statement given to PEOPLE, Ansari responded to the allegation, explaining that he and the woman engaged “in sexual activity, which by all indications was completely consensual.”

He continued, “The next day, I got a text from her saying that although ‘it may have seemed okay,’ upon further reflection, she felt uncomfortable. It was true that everything did seem okay to me, so when I heard that it was not the case for her, I was surprised and concerned. I took her words to heart and responded privately after taking the time to process what she had said.”

Grace’s account of her encounter with Ansari previously sparked significant backlash, with some dismissing the incident as a bad date that should have remained private. Others, however, have applauded the piece for launching a debate over the pervasive power imbalances between men and women.

Lena Waithe Reflects on Aziz Ansari Allegation, Hopes We 'Educate Ourselves' About Sexual Consent

Lena Waithe has weighed in on the sexual misconduct allegation brought against her Master of None costar Aziz Ansari.

When asked about the allegation in her April 2018 cover interview with Vanity Fair, the author writes that she became “quieter, more thoughtful,” before answering.

“At the end of the day, what I would hope comes out of this is that we as a society … educate ourselves about what consent is — what it looks like, what it feels like, what it sounds like,” she said. “I think there are both men and women who are still trying to figure it out.”

“We need to be more attuned to each other, pay more attention to each other, in every scenario, and really make sure that, whatever it is we’re doing with someone else, they’re comfortable doing whatever that thing is, and that we’re doing it together,” she continued. “That’s just human kindness and decency.”

In January, an anonymous woman accused Ansari, 35, of sexual behavior that she classified as assault but he called consensual in a controversial article published on Babe.net that sparked a public conversation regarding the nuances of the #MeToo movement.

“I continue to support the movement that is happening in our culture,” he added. “It is necessary and long overdue.”

Waithe, 33, previously touched on the Ansari allegation in an interview with KPCC’s The Frame.

“Here’s the truth — in every situation, it’s not always black-and-white,” she said last month. “And I know that’s simple for people, and it’s easy for people to , ‘Whose side are you on?’ There are no sides, really, in some of these scenarios.”

Aziz Ansari Steps Out with Chris Rock for Rare Appearance After Sexual Harassment Allegation

Aziz Ansari make a rare public appearance on Monday, stepping out with fellow comedian Chris Rock and rapper 2 Chainz to watch the New York Knicks take on the Cleveland Cavaliers at Madison Square Garden.

The Master of None star, 35, has kept a low profile since a sexual misconduct allegation was made against him four months ago.

He and Rock were photographed together sitting courtside at the game, which the Cavaliers won 123-109.

2 Chainz (née Tauheed Epps) was next to them, sharing video of their time together to Instagram.

I took her words to heart and responded privately after taking the time to process what she had said.”

“I continue to support the movement that is happening in our culture,” he added. “It is necessary and long overdue.”

Grace’s account of her encounter with Ansari previously sparked significant backlash, with some dismissing the incident as a bad date that should have remained private. Others, however, have applauded the piece for launching a debate over the pervasive power imbalances between men and women.

In March, Ansari’s former Parks and Rec costar Adam Scott gave an update on his friend.

“I’ll say this: Aziz is doing great. He’s a great, lovely guy,” the Big Little Lies star told Vulture in an interview.

Scott, who portrayed Ben Wyatt, and Ansari, who played Tom Haverford, starred alongside Amy Poehler on the NBC comedy together from 2010-2015.

Never trust Chris Pratt with a secret.

Parks and Recreation‘s Jim O’Heir revealed his former costar has ruined – at his request – a movie for him on more than one occasion.

O’Heir, 56, sat down with PeopleTV’s Chatter on Tuesday to spill secrets on the cast of the hit NBC comedy series – and whether they keep in touch.

O’Heir, who played Jerry Gergich, says not only does the cast keep in touch, they have a group chat called “Park Family.” As for who takes control of the chat, O’Heir said everyone has their moments.

“I’m terrible. Nick , I don’t know what he’s saying all the time because he speaks in words that are just too smart for me,” he said. “Aubrey is just scary. Amy is pretty much loving. Everybody, Aziz , Pratt .”

Pratt’s career quickly took off after the comedy series ended with high profile films such as Jurassic World and a Guardians of the Galaxy.

O’Heir revealed Pratt was kind enough to spill some secrets about this year’s latest Marvel release, Avengers: Infinity War.

“Well we had dinner, all of us a month and a half ago, and we got some good stuff! I got some good stuff about Avengers and then I saw it and I went, ‘Yeah, he told me that would happen,'” O’Heir said. “And Jurassic Park, which will be his next release.”

The actor joked about Pratt’s success, saying, “He’s done okay.”

“You know for a while after Parks I would through him 20 bucks to cut my lawn,” he continued, laughing. “But, I think he’s doing okay now. If he needs a little help I’ll be there.”

The comedian said that despite the 38-year-old’s massive success, fame hasn’t had an impact on his personality.

“It couldn’t be more like it was from day one,” O’Heir revealed. “Pratt hasn’t changed at all. He’s just a fun guy. He’s talented but he doesn’t have an ego that’s crazy. That’s just not who he — or any of them — .”

Retta Says She 'Didn't Appreciate' the Sexual Misconduct Allegation Against Aziz Ansari

Retta has weighed in on the sexual misconduct allegation brought against her friend and former Parks and Recreation costar Aziz Ansari.

In January, an anonymous woman who went on a date with Ansari, 35, accused him of sexual behavior that she classified as assault but he called consensual in a controversial article published on Babe.net that sparked a public conversation regarding the nuances of the #MeToo movement.

Speaking to Vulture on Sunday, Retta, 48, said she didn’t think the story should have garnered as much attention as it did.

“I feel like a lot of people and a lot of other outlets were like, ‘Why did you even run this story?’ “she said. “I’m giving my personal opinion, and I don’t want f—ing people coming at me. You know what I mean? But I feel like I’ve been on that date so many times. I was like, ‘If you haven’t been on that date twice, are you even living a life?’ “

The woman, a 23-year-old Brooklyn photographer, recounted her allegations under the pseudonym “Grace.” She alleged that after meeting Ansari at an Emmy Awards afterparty in September 2017, they exchanged numbers and eventually went on a date, which she called “the worst of my life.” After a meal, she said they returned to his apartment, where she alleged that Ansari behaved coercively and that several sexual acts occurred though she was “physically giving off cues that wasn’t interested.”

Retta said she wouldn’t judge Grace because she doesn’t know her, but said she “didn’t appreciate” the allegation.

“I know personally — I had this conversation specifically with one of my good girlfriends, and she was like, ‘I don’t know how this is a story. I didn’t get it.’ I don’t want to get into it,” she said. “I didn’t like it. Because I’m the first person to be like, ‘F— that motherf—er. He’s an a—hole. He’s a f—ing a—hole.’ And I didn’t think he was an a—hole and I didn’t appreciate it.”

In response to the allegation, Ansari issued a statement at the time acknowledging they went on a date and ended up engaging in sexual activity afterwards, which he said “by all indications was completely consensual.”

“The next day, I got a text from her saying that although ‘it may have seemed okay,’ upon further reflection, she felt uncomfortable,” he continued. “It was true that everything did seem okay to me, so when I heard that it was not the case for her, I was surprised and concerned. “I continue to support the movement that is happening in our culture,” he added. “It is necessary and long overdue.”

Ansari has not publicly commented further on the matter. Most recently, his Master of None costar Lena Waithe addressed the allegation in her Vanity Fair April cover interview, stressing the importance of sexual consent.

“At the end of the day, what I would hope comes out of this is that we as a society … educate ourselves about what consent is — what it looks like, what it feels like, what it sounds like,” said Waithe, 34.

Sarah Silverman Calls Louis C.K. Her 'Brother' in Wake of Sexual Misconduct Allegations

Sarah Silverman has mixed feelings about her friend and fellow comedian Louis C.K.

In a new interview with GQ, Silverman said she doesn’t have a “clear perspective” on how she feels after C.K. was accused of sexual misconduct by multiple women.

“Life is complicated. Love is even more complicated. But you can’t not do it,” she said. “I don’t have some definitive sound bite or nutshell of how I feel about it, even to myself. But I’m also okay with that.”

Silverman, 47, said she still talks to C.K. and will continue to support her “brother.”

“He’s my brother, so it’s hard,” she said. “I may not have a very clear perspective on it, but I’m trying to.”

In a New York Times article published in November, four female comedians claimed that C.K. had masturbated in front of them, while a fifth claimed he masturbated while speaking with her on the phone. The comedian responded with a lengthy statement in which he admitted that “these stories are true.”

He added, “The hardest regret to live with is what you’ve done to hurt someone else. And I can hardly wrap my head around the scope of hurt I brought on them … I have spent my long and lucky career talking and saying anything I want. I will now step back and take a long time to listen.”

Silverman also sounded off on an allegation against Aziz Ansari, saying she hopes he learns from what happened.

“I was just like, ‘Gross, I don’t wanna know that about Aziz!’ ” she said. “Hopefully he’s dealing with things, looking inward, and will blossom from it.”

The woman recounted her allegations under the pseudonym “Grace.” She alleged that Ansari behaved coercively at his apartment following a date and that several sexual acts occurred though she was “physically giving off cues that wasn’t interested.”

Those hoping to see a Parks and Recreation revival will have to pray that Beyoncé has some free time in her schedule.

On Thursday, Amy Poehler and Nick Offerman — who starred on the acclaimed NBC series during its seven-season run — made a visit to The Ellen DeGeneres Show, where they said they would jump at the chance for a reboot if a certain singer would join the cast.

“We said if Beyoncé will play the mayor, we’ll bring the show back,” Offerman, 47, said after joking, “We just had a fitting earlier.”

Of course, Poehler knows that Beyoncé may be a little busy. So she gave Parks and Rec fans an out — explaining that even if the former Destiny’s Child singer isn’t free, they’d still proceed.

“I’ll speak for everybody and say we would all do it,” Poehler, 46, said. “I think we would all do it someday. It would be amazing.”

Parks and Recreation aired on NBC from 2009-2015. Besides Poehler and Offerman, the show also starred Chris PrattAubrey Plaza, Retta, Aziz AnsariRashida Jones, Adam Scott, and Rob Lowe (among others).

Meanwhile, Poehler and Offerman are working together on a new NBC show: Making It, a six-episode reality competition series that challenges artisan craftsmen and women to make a variety of projects to win the title of “Master Maker” and a $100,000 grand prize.

Both are producing the show and judging, alongside Barneys’ Creative Ambassador-at-Large Simon Doonan and Etsy trend expert Dayna Isom Johnson.

While Offerman is a skilled woodworker himself, Poehler’s talents lie in other areas.

“You always need someone to hold things — you know, like, ‘Hold on, I’m almost done, hold this’ — and I’m really good at that kind of stuff,” she joked.

Making It premieres July 31 at 10 p.m. ET on NBC. The Ellen DeGeneres Show airs weekdays in syndication (check local listings).

Aziz Ansari has a new woman in his life.

Ansari has been spending time with a woman identified by the Daily Mail  as Ph.D. student Serena Campbell over the past few months. On Thursday, the two were spotted shopping in New York City together.

At one point, Ansari, 35, stopped to give Campbell, 29, a kiss on the cheek.

The two were first linked in August when Ansari was photographed out in NYC with his arm draped around Campbell.

And according to Campbell’s Instagram, the two have even hit the road together: She traveled with Ansari to Nashville to attend one of his comedy shows, and in June, the comedian went back to her native Denmark with Campbell.

Ansari’s rep has not commented on their relationship.

Ansari has kept a low profile since a sexual misconduct allegation was made against him earlier this year.

In January, an anonymous woman accused Ansari of sexual behavior that she classified as assault but he called consensual. The controversial article published on Babe.net sparked a public conversation regarding the nuances of the #MeToo movement.

The woman, a 23-year-old Brooklyn photographer, recounted her allegations under the pseudonym “Grace.” She alleged that after meeting Ansari at an Emmy Awards afterparty in September 2017, they exchanged numbers and eventually went on a date, which she called “the worst of life.” After a meal, she said they returned to his apartment, where she alleged that Ansari behaved coercively and that several sexual acts occurred though she was “physically giving off cues that wasn’t interested.”

Grace said she decided to come forward after she saw Ansari wearing a Time’s Up pin at the Golden Globe Awards, where he won best comedy actor in a TV series.

In response, Ansari issued a statement acknowledging they went on a date and ended up engaging in sexual activity afterwards, which he said “by all indications was completely consensual.”

“The next day, I got a text from her saying that although ‘it may have seemed okay,’ upon further reflection, she felt uncomfortable,” he continued. “It was true that everything did seem okay to me, so when I heard that it was not the case for her, I was surprised and concerned. Aziz Ansari Opens Up About Sexual Misconduct Allegation: 'I Hope I've Become a Better Person'

For the first time since his initial statement, Aziz Ansari has publicly addressed the sexual misconduct allegation leveled against him a little over a year ago.

Taking the stage Monday night at the Village Underground in New York City, Ansari, 35, said talking about the allegation is “terrifying,” according to Vulture.

“There were times I felt really upset and humiliated and embarrassed, and ultimately I just felt terrible this person felt this way,” he said, his voice reportedly wavering. “But you know, after a year, how I feel about it is, I hope it was a step forward. It made me think about a lot, and I hope I’ve become a better person.”

Last January, an anonymous woman who went on a date with Ansari accused him of sexual behavior that she classified as assault but he called consensual in a controversial article published on Babe.net. The piece sparked a public conversation regarding the nuances of the #MeToo movement.

According to Vulture, on Monday, Ansari recalled a conversation in which a friend told him the story made him rethink every date he’s been on.

“If that has made not just me but other guys think about this, and just be more thoughtful and aware and willing to go that extra mile, and make sure someone else is comfortable in that moment, that’s a good thing,” he said.

Ansari went on to profess how grateful he is to be able to perform comedy for a living, Vulture reported, saying the allegation gave him “perspective” on his life.

“There was a moment where I was scared that I’d never be able to do this again,” he said.

Treat yo’ self — it’s a Pawnee reunion!

The entire cast of Parks and Recreation delighted fans everywhere on Thursday night at PaleyFest in Hollywood, California, where they took the stage to participate in a panel hosted by Patton Oswalt to celebrate the upcoming 10-year anniversary of the iconic comedy’s debut.

On hand were the series’ creator Michael Schur, as well as stars Amy Poehler, Rashida Jones, Chris Pratt, Aubrey Plaza, Aziz Ansari, Rob Lowe, Adam Scott, Retta, Nick Offerman and even Jim O’Heir, a.k.a. Jerry/Larry/Terry/Garry.

Many of the cast members expressed their joy over the reunion on social media, with Lowe, 55, sharing a backstage video of the cast and writing, “Reunited, and it does feel so good.”

Among a plethora of anecdotes from the cast regarding their cherished time on the show (which ran for seven seasons, from 2009 to 2015), Schur, 43, talked onscreen reunion potential for Parks and Rec — namely, that it is not out of the question.

“We would all have to feel like there was a story that needed to be told,” he said, according to Entertainment Tonight, explaining that everyone from both the cast and primary creative team would need to be on board.

“The show was about the power of public service and doing good with a team. I don’t think we left anything on the table,” Schur added, reported ET.

If it were up to Poehler alone, a revival would happen sooner rather than later.

In December, the star of the NBC sitcom revealed that she is ready to put endlessly optimistic local government employee Leslie Knope’s blazer back on again.

“I am technically available,” Poehler, 47, told Variety at Smart Girls’ 10th anniversary celebration dinner, joking, “I have like six of Leslie’s blazers in my closet, so anytime.”

Rashida Jones Pays Tribute to Parks and Recreation on Series' 10th Anniversary: 'So Grateful'

Rashida Jones looked back at her time on Parks and Recreation on Tuesday as the NBC series celebrated its 10th anniversary.

The 43-year-old actress — who played nurse Ann Perkins, the best friend to Amy Poehler’s Leslie Knope — shared memories of her time on the beloved sitcom in a candid Instagram post.

“Ten years ago today, the first episode of @nbcparksandrec aired,” she wrote, captioning a photo of herself and Poehler on the show. “And thus began the most magical seven years of my professional life playing Ann Perkins and working with kind, hilarious, and talented people that I still call friends.”

She went on explain that many days on the Parks and Recreation set in season one were spent in fear, since the show wasn’t an immediate ratings success. Though the comedy — which premiered on April 9, 2009 — aired 125 episodes over seven seasons before coming to an end in 2015, that nervousness never settled.

Said Jones: “The cast, crew and writers spent a decent amount of time worrying about getting canceled, we nervously waited for our (usually) very low ratings mornings after we aired and, every season, we prayed that we would get picked up, even if it was just for six more. Because we loved it.”

Of course, Jones wouldn’t change a thing. She boasted how that underdog status only bonded the Parks and Rec family even more.

“Needless to say, over time, many, many people have come to love the show with unexpected fervor. I don’t know if the series would have been what it was if we could’ve foreseen that,” Jones said. “Holding onto each other tight and treasuring every moment together was a huge part of what is on screen.”

“So grateful for this show, these people, this writing, this experience,” she said. “Happy 10th.”
